Kath Meadows, MA, E-RYT500 is a trauma informed yoga training instructor, teacher and practitioner. Since 2010 Kath has offered gender sensitive, trauma informed yoga to men and women in prisons.  In 2016 she implemented a pioneering Yoga Alliance registered 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training for women prisoners, in collaboration with The Yoga Center of Columbia, MD.

She is the author A Woman’s Practice: Healing from the Heart, an accessible guide to the healing benefits of yoga for women in all bodies.  More than 4,000 copies of her book have been sent free of charge to prisoners around the USA.  Kath was a contributing editor to Best Practices for Yoga in the Criminal Justice System, a Yoga Service Council publication.

Formerly Director of Women Prisoner Initiatives and trauma informed yoga training leader with Prison Yoga Project, Kath now serves as a founding member of Moving Mountains Organization, a non-profit dedicated to bringingyoga and wellness to underserved populations of West Virginia.
