Whitney has been studying, practicing, and teaching yoga since 2007. She further studied Prana Vinyasa Yoga and Ayurveda with Maria Garre, Trauma Informed Yoga with Kath Meadows of Prison Yoga Project, and in recent years training in Stand Up Paddleboard with Jessie Benson of Baltimore SUP. Whitney is a continuing education provider for Yoga Alliance, and has been featured in Mantra Magazine and Yoga Journal.
In 20 years her mindfulness practice has matured into leading countless wellness adventures, 6 years of studio ownership, a pandemic pivot to the outdoors, and a rebrand on the river. Whitney is greeting her fifth paddleboard season on the nations river and ready to reinvigorate you by guiding your wellness to the waters, on the yoga mat, and beyond.
Blending her diverse experience and education she meets the needs of each individual when curating her adventures. Making every experience mindful, and never skimping on relaxation and humor. Her passion is to be in service and harmony with her own body, mind, and spirit practices, in return creating integrous community and mindful adventure.
- “Paddleboarding with Ebb & Flow is a joyful and unique way to spend time in nature while connecting with the community. Whether you are looking to float, paddle, or practice yoga on the river, Whitney offers guided experiences that are both grounded and playful.” – Kelsey Harpers Ferry Wv
- “A unique and exceptional community. Whitney’s “all walks of life” approach is heartening, and it makes you feel welcome. I am especially looking forward to another outdoor season. Last year’s outdoor season offered a Covid respite, but I prefer the outdoor version even in a post Covid yoga world.” – Kyle Va
- “The classes and retreats are so inclusive, not just expert yoga folks. It is everyone from the community with different needs and experiences coming together. It is both a gift and a blessing.” – Suzi & Lee Knoxville Md
- “My favorite time of the week with our at-risk students was yoga with Whitney. Her patience and passion for yoga made everyone feel comfortable. Students discovered movements of strength that they didn’t know they could do and the pride that it evoked in them was incredible to witness. Whitney’s knowledge of the human body and yoga taught me something new every class. Students and staff left feeling rejuvenated and at peace.” – Thomasa Vandell of Opportunity Learning Center Jefferson County Wv
